They Broke The Ladder
The coin toss generation is stuck. They'll be lucky to grab onto even the lowest rungs.
A coin toss. That is the probability of a 2026 graduate getting a job.
For fifteen years the deal was simple: get educated, enter the “digital economy”, move into knowledge work, and your life would stabilize upward.
THAT DEAL IS COLLAPSING IN REALTIME.
AI is being done to us not for us. The abundance we were promised isn’t evenly distributed. Instead, our most prestigious institutions are doing ritual blood sacrifices of 10% of their employees to feed their delusional AI gods. Tech oligarchs and career politicians are the only winners in this arrangement.
Rome is burning.
They Broke Our Ladder
Climbing the corporate ladder was the safest way to enter the leadership class. This week, they began removing the middle rungs from the ladder.
Meta laid off 10% of their workforce. They killed 8,000 careers in one day but that was just the smokescreen for their true plan: eliminating your upward mobility into the leadership class. 7,000 more Meta employees kept their job but were moved into various AI-related teams. The company has removed most of their frontline manager roles as part of this change and sources tell us that senior managers and directors are now responsible for managing 40+ people. Nobody has the time or emotional energy to “manage” 40+ people so managers are now solely responsible for hitting the plebeians with a baton if they step out of line.
You cannot climb a ladder from bottom to top if it is missing the middle rungs. This was the point of Meta’s layoffs and it’s coming soon to your company since most leaders are merely lemmings.
For the class of 2026 things look grim. Entry level jobs are down 35% and grads have a 42% unemployment rate. A resume won’t get you a job either. Forbes reports that the “resume is dying.” “Skills” and “work proof” are now preferred by employers…but how do you get either if you’re unemployed? You’ll work for free just for a shot at getting a job.
They are choking us out on purpose. The empire is in bad shape and they want to cut off our access to the leadership class. Don’t believe me? They just stripped Thomas Massie of his political influence this week.
Their Strategy is Failing

In the shadows somewhere is a modern day Joseph Goebbels constructing propaganda to make you accept the tech oligarch’s vision of the future (it’s not the only possible future).
Their campaign was winning until 2026. The cracks in their strategy are growing by the day and more people are starting to notice. You’re early if you’re subscribed to this newsletter but we’re about to see a massive influx of people noticing.
In my great state of Arizona, former Google CEO Eric Schmidt gave a graduation speech where he tried to force the pro-AI party line. Student booed every time he mentioned AI.
They’re trying to get them young with their propaganda. Scott Borchetta (record exec who made Taylor Swift famous), Gloria Caulfield and others were all loudly booed when they made pro-AI graduation speeches. The kids are alright. At least directionally…
The vibe shift has been so immense WSJ is calling it an “American rebellion against AI.” Gallup polls show that Americans don’t want data centers, don’t want to use AI, and are distrustful of anyone peddling a pro-AI stance. The spirit of 1776 is still alive in our souls.
AI has lost the emotional narrative. They cannot claim victory until they win over the people (will they?)
The Bottom is Falling Out
Intuitively we know that everything is in disarray - that the situation is dire. President Trump pushes propaganda that we’re more prosperous than we’ve ever been (who is we?)
The disconnect makes everything feel fake…because it is. They’re trying to rewrite history to get you to forget but luckily for us, not everything is data in one of their datacenters…yet. Here’s a receipt from 2006. Just 20 years ago you could feed a family of 4 well for $160.

That’s about $2.25 per meal. Kevin O’Leary thinks you’re just stupid because lunch is $28 now (it’s almost $20 to just go outside these days). Even if you could get $2.25/meal groceries these days, who would pack your sandwich? If you’re married, your spouse has to work too to make the rent. You only have 15 minutes for lunch at the Amazon warehouse to cram something down from the company cafeteria. You can’t just whip something up at lunchtime because the boomers wanted us to go back to the offices 5 days a week.

Understand: people tolerate disruption when living standards rise. They radicalize when disruption coincides with visible decline.
A large swath of the population is radicalizing. The majority is soon to follow.
Looking East
America looks culturally exhausted. China looks technologically advanced.
Keyword: looks.
“America is a declining world power” - Xi
I don’t know what to make of all of it yet, I’m investigating with an open mind. The videos coming out of China make it look like the futuristic civilization we were promised way back in the 1950s in this country.

Is it Chinese propaganda? Has American propaganda been created to make us believe that China is still caught in the stone age?
My official position is “I don’t know and intend to conclusively find out.”
I have been learning Mandarin and am incorporating more Chinese primary source documents and media into my research. Expect to hear more about this in the coming weeks. If China is surpassing us as a technological power, the American people should know, and immediately begin examining their model for wins so we can regain the lead. Why is nobody doing this through a critical lens?
While we are arguing about who can use which bathroom, China has clean streets, stunning infrastructure, affordable city apartments (often half the price or less than comparable US cities), affordable high-tech cars, and advanced robotics. I want to know. If China is legit it could hold a lot of answers to American problems.
Blood in the Streets
We are headed towards one of two possibilities: establishment of the Fourth Reich or course change. There are no other possible outcomes.
Our tech overlords don’t want us ascending into their class and are doing everything in their power to establish a permanent underclass. Bryan Johnson and Sam Altman are attempting to become Übermenschen and defeat death - either on biological or technological terms. The AI-powered surveillance grid will become weaponized and rolled out domestically against US citizens - we are already seeing the first stages of this with Flock Security spying on children in private rooms 24/7.
We can wage war against the totalitarian regime they are building or we can just tell a different story.
The time is ripe. The cracks are showing. The next generation is booing at the mere mention of AI during graduation speeches. We must claim the narrative and offer a different version of the future. Before that though we must write it. In order to write something well, we must begin with the research.
And that’s exactly what I’m doing in this newsletter. I’ll keep reporting on the collapse over on YouTube but you’ll always hear the ideas unfit for Google’s censorship here first.
Rome is burning, we can forge swords over the fire, or tell a better story.
